Gratitude, Grief, and Real Growth.
I lost my dad in September and this is a personal reflection on gratitude, grief, and real growth. ❤️🩹
There was a time when I needed everything to BE okay in order to FEEL okay… but the work I’ve done these last few years [that all started by looking at my relationship with alcohol] has given me a different kind of strength.
Now, even in grief, even in uncertainty, I feel grounded. capable. resilient. …and I’m so thankful.

How to Thanksgiving Alcohol-Free (Without White-Knuckling-It!)
Attempting your first [or third] Thanksgiving alcohol-free can feel really daunting.
For many of my clients, the thought of navigating the holidays without booze brings up legit anxiety.
If that’s you, take a breath. Know that you don’t need to do this perfectly…You just need a plan. →
How to CHANGE your drinking before you’re READY to change your drinking.
Q: “I’ve heard you say to “start before you’re ready” but… what do you mean by that… how do I actually do that? Especially if you’re telling us NOT to stop drinking right away?”
Great question! That tip can sound counter-intuitive and, in fact: it is. It runs counter to the usual “willpower-based models” out there that tell you: if you want to change something—to simply grit your teeth and CHANGE IT. …but, that’s not how our brain works.
Watch this quick video where I explain HOW to start changing your drinking before you’re feeling ready to change your drinking…
What if I told you there was an “easy” way to reduce your drinking?
What if I told you there was an “easy” way to reduce your drinking. I know, it sounds hard to believe. Like a gimmick or click-bait or something. But here’s the thing: 👉 It’s not a trick. 👉 It’s a skill.
A set of skills, rather, that you can learn and practice:
A Surprise Liquor Store, an Attitude Check, and a Beautiful Botanical Beverage.
Alright so, a bougie liquor store just went in next door to my dentist. And, at first, I was annoyed. 👉 Not gonna lie.
I thought “Are you serious? In a strip mall full of wellness vendors?” But that’s the society we live in, right? Alcohol is just… everywhere. Not only grocery stores and bars, but it’s found its way into crafting events, hair salons, marathons, even yoga studios. So I gave myself a little attitude check…
Your mind creates your reality… and alcohol dulls your mind. (Aka: why take a break.)
Something I hear from my clients all the time—once they’ve gotten a little time under their belt alcohol-free—is variations on this theme: 👉 “Things are still hard right now, but not AS hard.”
Even just after a few weeks without alcohol in your system, you’ll feel a difference in your perspective… and this, my friend, is a dramatic improvement. When…
I’m trying to drink less, but “What if my biggest trigger is OTHER PEOPLE?”
Do you absorb other people’s emotions or “energy?” Have you ever felt your vibe shift because of another person’s mood? If this sounds familiar, you might be picking up on other people’s emotions — absorbing their energy without even realizing it. Over time, this emotional sponge effect can leave you feeling drained, anxious, or reaching for a drink to cope.
It might feel like something you can’t control, but the good news is: you can learn to protect your energy! This simple shift can make a big difference:
So… What Is Life Coaching, Really?
So… What Is Life Coaching, Really? With all the buzz around therapy and mental health, you may have come across the term life coach and wondered: “What exactly is that?” or even “How is that different from therapy?”
Fair questions! In this brief article, I’ll break it down with some answers…
There hasn’t been 1 day in the last 1025 that I’ve regretted NOT drinking!
1,025 Days! This is bananas, y’all. 🍌 It feels like just yesterday I was learning to “surf urges” and make it through cravings…
But it also feels like a lifetime ago. Because, in a way—it was.
Standing here today, I feel like a completely different version of myself—still me, but lighter, brighter, more alive. I’ve been on this journey for a while, but the big shift came early…
