“Next Friday will be 90 days with no alcohol!

And every once in a while my brain still suggests it to me (like on my last day of work) but now I see those thoughts and I just think “no, noooo thank you — I hear you, but that’s a hard pass for me.”

My experience working with Coach Jamie was and continues to be life changing.. in the most remarkable best sort of way.

Over the years in trying to understand my relationship with alcohol, trying to quit all together or moderate, I tried AA, (including working the steps with a sponsor), private therapy, reading and listening to at least a dozen “quit lit” books, listening to podcasts and participating in online neuroscience-based alcohol freedom communities. And while the resources were helpful and provided support and valuable information, I kept returning to my pattern of drinking and feeling worse about myself each time.

When I contacted Jamie about enrolling in her Revolutionary Reset program, I had returned to drinking after period of abstinence. I felt broken.. after all, I tried every program out there, and still I was stuck in this relentless cycle of drinking then abstinence, moderating then drinking more than I planned. I am an intelligent woman, I work a demanding corporate job, I’ve made big hard life choices, raised children.. the list goes on..  but I was absolutely stuck in my relationship with alcohol. One day I was listening to a podcast on sober living and heard Jaime interviewed. There was something about her combination of knowledge around the science of alcohol and her kindness and compassion that felt very authentic. I was back to my unhealthy pattern of drinking at that time and was stuck and I didn’t like myself.  It was awful.  So, I reached out to Jamie, and I am so glad I did.

We dug deep and did the hard work of taking a true look at alcohol and how it did and didn’t serve me.. through kindness, compassion, nonjudgement, Jamie was my gentle guide on this journey… and I am no longer stuck.. I am free! Alcohol was the monkey on my back that I sent packing..

What I didn’t know would happen in working with Jamie was that I would come to love myself, to be my own best friend.. I am 60 years old.. I did not know this would be possible.. but it is!
