Affective Liminal Psychology
& IFS-Informed Coaching
My approach is grounded in Affective Liminal Psychology (ALP) and informed by Internal Family Systems (IFS) → offering a compassionate, neuroscience-based framework for understanding and gently transforming the emotional patterns beneath burnout and alcohol use.
This methodology explores how emotions, beliefs, and subconscious patterns shape our behaviors… especially the habit loops we feel stuck in, like drinking to cope with stress, overwhelm, or exhaustion.
Rather than relying on willpower or “self-control,” this approach works at the liminal level (the threshold between the conscious and subconscious mind) where real, sustainable change happens.
This is where:
Mental tug-of-war ends and cravings dissolve
Emotional triggers lose their charge
Old coping patterns naturally fall away
When we change how we feel about alcohol (or any coping mechanism) → behavior change follows… without force, FOMO, or deprivation.
