Start the Year Slowly

🌊. . …starting this year slowly.

I think that might be my theme for 2024.

To slow down.
Lean back in my chair…
And—in-between sprints of productivity & creation—to continue to hone my skills for ::REST::

ā€˜23 was a wild ride.
…an experimental ā€œbreak from boozeā€ led to a monumental epiphany which turned into a rekindled life’s purpose. (whoops? šŸ˜…)

Like a transformational gauntlet of growth and change…

And as I settle into the acceptance [dare I say excitement? 🧐] that this is now a *lifelong* journey of expansion, I’m starting to see some themes emerge for this [deeper] work.

A key theme for me right now, clearly, is rest. šŸ¤“

And, while it seems fairly ā€œobviousā€ā€¦ for a long time, for me, my definition was all wrong.

The things I used to do to ā€œrestā€ were more like avoidance and distraction… I wasn’t actually giving my body & mind the repair it needed.

(And, as a result: I was completely exhausted.)

My wish for you this year is to give yourself permission to really rest. To investigate what that means for you, and to start finding little ways to turn the dials of your life šŸŽ›ļø

To start finding your own balance.

If all this is possible for me, I *know* that it’s possible for you.

For now: just take a deep breath. Close your eyes.
You’ve got this.
