How small shifts create big results: A Client Story of early progress.
I want to share another client story today, especially if you’re just getting started and wondering whether change is even possible.
Kelsie’s experience is a perfect example of what early progress looks like:
When we started working together, there wasn't "dramatic" change overnight. She didn’t quit drinking with the flip of a switch. Life didn’t magically slow down.
But something powerful started to shift…
Here’s how she described it:
“It’s like you’re helping me change my thinking minute to minute, hour by hour. When I catch myself in a negative thought loop, I stop. I breathe.
I’ve taken so much pressure off. ...I've stopped trying to control everything.”
— Kelsie
That shift started to ripple outward into:
Less reactivity.
More patience.
More ease.
And it started impacting her relationship with alcohol, too!
Instead of drinking on autopilot like usual, she started paying closer attention:
“I used to rush home because I was in a hurry to pour a drink. It's just what I did. Now, I'm still drinking but I’m being way more mindful.
I realized I didn’t even really want the alcohol last time! I just liked the flavor of lemon and tonic.
…tonight I might SKIP the alcohol altogether and see how it feels!”
Isn’t that amazing!?
(I THINK IT IS!)
This is exactly what early progress looks like!
Not making more rules.
Not forcing with willpower.
Not quitting cold-turkey.
Just awareness.
Curiosity.
...and a little more choice than before.
This method I teach helps you to find natural, easy change. ...the kind that happens from a place of "I want this."
If you’re trying to cut back right now and blaming yourself for “not doing it perfectly,” please hear this:
The subtle shifts matter.
You don’t need to overhaul your life.
You don't need any dramatic decisions.
I invite you to simply start paying closer attention… maybe even with a touch of lightness and curiosity.
That’s where everything changes.
Just. Keep. Going.
P.s. If you’re curious what it might look like to make these kinds of shifts in your own life, I’d love to support you.
