The Importance of Rest

You should sit in nature for 20 minutes a day...
Unless you're busy, then you should sit for an hour.
—Zen proverb

Ok, I know. 🙄
This often the hardest thing to do, but sincerely:

It is *precisely* when you’re feeling the busiest, the most overwhelmed and stretched-too-thin… that you should prioritize self-care and ::rest::

This has been a hard talk for me to walk, but it’s made a HUGE IMPACT on my burnout recovery, mental health, and honestly, in my relationships.

Taking the time to get outside, go for a walk, or even to just take a few deeps breaths in-between activities has become a touchstone of calm…

💕A saving grace

🧘‍♀️ Nervous-system-regulating
🧘‍♀️ Anxiety-reducing
🧘‍♀️ Mind-clearing
🧘‍♀️ Overall re-set

So, I’m really *hoping* you’ve got some time to rest and rejuvenate this week, in-between holiday events…

But, if you don’t, or if you’re simply feeling overwhelmed for any reason…

This is your permission to step outside and ::breathe::

💗 Take care of yourself out there.
We’re all in this together.
