Making Rules Doesn’t Work

Watch this short video hear my thoughts: https://www.instagram.com/p/C1KbkQuxyoR/

It’s really common to start making “rules” for yourself around drinking…

👉 “I’ll only have two tonight.”
👉 “Only on weekends.”
👉 “No hard liquor, I’ll just drink wine…”

When our drinking starts to creep towards a higher frequency or number 🍷🍷 🍷.. .🍷

We start to think “Huh. 🧐 …maybe time to cut back.”

The problem we then face is that alcohol is an *anesthetic.* 🧠 Like anesthesia in surgery, alcohol actually numbs the thinking, cognitive part of our brain…

So, even after just one drink, the logical part of your mind that makes conscious decisions [like “I’ll just have two”] starts to fade offline.

🚨 SPOILER ALERT 🚨
This is why moderation is so difficult.

If you’d like to drink less, take a break, or quit altogether, Book a Discovery Call today! I’ve got a ton of resources that I’m happy to share.

Take care of yourself out there.
