The easiest $10k I’ve ever saved! And other unexpected benefits of a break from booze.

I don’t count days anymore, but I popped into the sober app on my phone today and just happened to click on the “savings” tab… my eyes popped out of my head!

To date, I’ve saved more than $10,000—just by NOT buying those bottles of wine at the grocery store. By NOT splurging on cocktails and mimosas at restaurants.

💰And the bank account is just the beginning!

I went to a show last night at a big concert hall downtown… one of my favorite comedians.

And not only did I *NOT* spend $14 on what would have probably been a disappointing plastic cup of wine… [and, let’s be honest, I probably would’ve had two] 💸

But I *didn’t* have to worry about downing it before the show started. Didn’t have to feel distracted by the feeling of “wanting one more” when the lights went down.

I didn’t have to leave the show partway through to use the restroom. OR wait in the monstrous line immediately afterwards. 🚶‍♀🚶‍♀🚶‍♀️… .

🙌 It was so FREEING!

Sure, the *money* saved is awesome. …but I gained so much more.

-I had a fun night out.
-Let myself get swept into lightness & laughter.
-Felt safe and confident getting into my car to drive home.
-Laid my head on the pillow feeling clear-headed and content…
-And then I slept like a baby.

This feeling of life alcohol-free is *so good* in so many ways…

Not only can I look at my bank account and feel proud, but I feel the same when I look in the mirror.
