We can be so hard on ourselves! π
In moments where our inner critic seems especially loud, it can help to pause⦠take a breath⦠and ask what we might say to a friend or a child in the same position.
Would you say something like βYou should have known better!β or βGawd! You always screw this up.β β¦ . . probably not. π
We are much more gentle and forgiving when speaking to others, and we deserve that *same* compassion when speaking to ourselves.
And it takes practice.
